About the event
This event raises funds to operate a 501c3 nonprofit which has been the provider of various resources for the Polk County, Florida residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our main resource is the affordable and accessible Proclaiming Our Potential (P.O.P.) day program, which teaches independent living skills and aides with the transition from high school into a more adult life style. Funds raised help with the purchaces of supplies, activities, materials, instructors fees, and other miscellaneous items that are required to maintain an affordable and accessible program for our community. All funds come from grants, donations, and fundraisers such as our annual Gala event. We are not government funded or subsidized.
